Panda's Story...
Panda lived in a feral colony for the past 4 months, keeping a respectful distance. She was out during the day, and didn't hide, but didn't give any indication that she was so tame!

We trapped her last weekend and got her spayed; then learned that she's super sweet!

Panda has the cutest meow-o, and chirps with trills and purrs mixed in her conversations. She wants attention and affection and has no desire to take off or be outside again! She's a total lap cat, and asks to be picked up and carried over your shoulder. And she has the cutest little bowtie on her chin.

Panda is now spayed and vaccinated, negative for FIV/FeLV/HW, and ready for her new forever home! She's estimated to be 1.5 years old.

Do you want to meet Panda? Let us know by submitting an online adoption application.

We only adopt within the Phoenix metropolitan area. If you are out of the area, we recommend searching Petfinder for a pet waiting in a shelter near you, by clicking here.

All of our animals are homeless when they come to us. We don't know their history or pedigree. Breed and descriptions are our best guess, based on appearance and sometimes personality traits. We cannot guarantee their information.

If you are unable to adopt at this time, please consider making a donation to help us continue to care for cats such as this one. We do not recover any costs associated with spaying and neutering, and often treating illness or injury, and the lifelong feeding of many other cats who are not as lucky as this one. Thank you for your interest in helping homeless animals.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Panda, a Tempe Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tempe, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Tempe.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tempe already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tempe breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tempe paves the way for another one to be saved.
