Maddy's Story...
Hi, I’m Maddy. I am a beagle/terrier mix and I’m very playful. I was found abandoned in a bad part of Dallas and left out in the cold alone during a week when the temperatures dropped to 40 degrees. I was starving and thirsty. A man with a very good heart found me and took me home with him to take care of me.

I’m in excellent health and I’m already spayed. I was probably born in the beginning of July 2012. I weigh about 35 lbs and won't get much bigger. I am so willing to please that I did not even struggle when my ears were being cleaned when I got a bath to get cleaned up. I am housebroken and only had one little accident in the house which is awesome for any family who adopts me. I love chewing on big bones and I have NOT chewed on anything that a dog should not chew on in my foster home.

I am extremely loving and sweet. I always want to cuddle up with you and give you my love, look into your eyes and want you to rub my head. Every time the man who saved me comes home I come over to him and roll on the floor wanting him to rub my belly and I’m always excited to see him. I love him very much but he already has two puppies so he cannot keep me. But he said that I am too adorable not to love and take care of until he can make sure I have the perfect family to take care of me.

I currently have the run of a big home with the two other puppies and we run around and play all day long. I will make an excellent addition to a family as an only pet, but even better I would love to have a brother or sister to play with me.

I promise that adopting me and loving me will be one of the best things you can do for your family for the next decade and beyond. If you would like to meet me please fill out an application for MADDY today!

Animal Allies of Texas is a 501(c)(3) animal advocacy/rescue organization, dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community. Our goal is to build a no-kill shelter on enough land to house not only "adoptable" animals, but "treatable" ones as well - those who need medical care or behavior modification to become adoptable. While working toward this goal, we will also engage in community service and humane education projects to help bring about "humanity championed by thought."

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maddy, a Garland Beagle/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Garland, or seeking a Beagle/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Garland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Garland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Garland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Beagle/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Garland paves the way for another one to be saved.
