Dallas's Story...
Dalls has a wonderful personality and is very friendly. Dallas was found in a feral colony but was so friendly we removed him and made him an indoor only cat. It was fortunate for him because he was diagnosed within a day with a prolapsed rectum. He has had 2 surgeries but occassionally he has a relapse and his rectum comes out temporarily. Spraying almond oil, olive oil, or vitamin E on his rear end resolves the issue and he is back to normal the same day. This "special need" does not prevent him form acting like a normal cat. It just requires vigilance on your part. Though he likes children and dogs we have listed him as no dogs or kids because of this "special need". Contact Robyn at 765-491-6720 for more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dallas, a West Lafayette Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in West Lafayette, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in West Lafayette.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in West Lafayette already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a West Lafayette breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in West Lafayette paves the way for another one to be saved.
