Cha Cha is a female 1 year old chihuahua. Cha Cha had a very rough start in life... her mom gave birth in a garage with not much human interaction, unless you call getting kicked out of the way 'interaction'. A neighbor who witnessed this behavior caught the owner as he was going to dump the litter at a local school.
Cha Cha has come a very long way... when she came to us she was extremely skittish and mistrusting of people. She has come out of her shell, she is so playful, great with other dogs, kids and cats. She plays with her sister Chi Chi all day. Except for being hard to catch because of her lingering mild mistrust, she gets so attached to those that love her and will be your constant companion. She will make such a great pet to any home. She would love being adopted with her sister or by herself. She is used to being in a home with lots of other animals and people but will adjust well in any loving home.
Cha Cha is spayed, up to date with shots, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $200.
All of our dogs are in private volunteer foster homes, and as such these individuals are most qualified to answer any questions regarding the dog.
We do not have a central shelter or kennel locations - you must make a private one-on-one meet and greet appointment with each individual dog at the foster family's convenience. To protect our foster families' privacy, we must have an APPROVED adoption application on file before we release their contact information.
All of our dogs are fixed (spayed/neutered) and up to date on shots. We have a 2 week foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog is a fit for your family. Adoption fees vary from dog-to-dog.
Please note that an approved application DOES NOT guarantee that the dog will be placed with you. The final decision rests with our fosters as they know the dogs the best, and please be aware that there may be other applicants interested in the same dog. We continue accepting applications on a dog until the dog is with the new adoptive family in their home.

Rescue Group Info...
Second Chance Dog Rescue was formed to fulfill a desperate need in the community to --Rescue, Rehabilitate & Re-home-- homeless dogs from families who can no longer take care of their animals due to financial distress, and from over-crowded local shelters.
Our program is based on foster care, and all rescued dogs spend their first days at a loving foster home where they receive personalized care. As part of our program, we ensure that all dogs have their shots, are spayed or neutered, and have been re-socialized by their foster family. In addition, Second Chance Dog Rescue provides support for potential new owners and monitors progress for both new pet parents and their adopted dogs. This helps guarantee that our dogs go to good, loving homes.
Our foster parents schedule one on one meetings with potential owners and provide a personalized adoption experience.
We require a foster questionnaire to be completed before a scheduled meeting. Then, if interested in our dog, a foster to adopt contract is completed with a two week trial period. An adoption fee is required. After the two week foster period, we conduct a home visit and complete the adoption contract.
