Cali's Story...
1-1.5 year old Female Calico DSH

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is helping facilitate the adoption of this cat. We take no responsibility for health and medical records.
It is the responsibility of the owner and adopter to discuss this.

Cali is a young (1 to 1.5 yr old) female spayed gorgeous Calico that must have some Siamese ancestry. She is sleek with a long thin body, hair coat close to the body like a Siamese and an incredibly long thin expressive tail.

Cali was abandoned at the home of a veterinarian in a rural setting; left to fend for herself. In short order, as soon as she was noticed, she humanely trapped her and brought her inside. She is FeLV & FIV negative. Her physical exam, fecal test and complete blood panel were all normal. She was scared at first - but has blossomed into an affectionate, loving and beautiful lovebug. You can hold her like a baby, she purrs and licks your hand for affection.

She likes to play with her toys, scratches on her scratching post and horizontal scratcher and is litterbox perfect. Cali is looking for a calm home with no children and no dogs. She would be a perfect companion and indoor only cat.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cali, a Davis Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Davis, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Davis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Davis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Davis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Davis paves the way for another one to be saved.
