Bear is a male Hound/Terrier mix, born in 2011. He has been at the kennel since 2012 when he was rescued from severe neglect. He has a nice, honey-colored coat. He would do well in a patient home with people who would give him love and time to adjust to life outside the kennel. Bear doesn’t get along with all other dogs, so he would need to be the only dog in the home or tested with any existing dogs in the home. We don’t recommend him with cats either. He needs a fenced yard.

About Our Shelter...
Humane Society Of Garland County
HSGC is a non profit, 501(3) (c),donation funded organization. Currently, we care for over 80 dogs & cats at this time. Our mission is to rescue adoptable animals without homes and to provide safety and nurturing while working to find safe, loving permanent homes for them. All our animals are neutered, vaccinated, and tested/treated for heart worms prior to adopting them out. We have a full time kennel manager, 4 kennel workers, and a score of volunteers who work together as a team to accomplish our mission. We have a local thrift store as well. We are 100% donation-funded, and no donation amount is too small or too large.
