Baxter's Info...

Baxter's Story...
Aren't I the cutest guy you've ever seen? My name is Baxter!

I like to tell people that I am a little leprechaun because I have the prettiest red hair and MESMERIZING GREEN EYES! I have short hair and the neatest LONG CORKSCREW TAIL you have ever seen. Now, how many fur friends have you ever met like me?

I was born in 2010 and they think I am a BASENJI mix. I was found abandoned in the FREEZING WEATHER and going from house to house begging to be let in. The nice people here at the Humane Society stepped in and saved me, thank goodness, I was sooo cold!!!

They tell me that I'm such a good boy who is very loving and VERY SWEET. Good manners too! I hear them say that I walk well on a leash, am okay with cats, would we good with children, and would be very easily house trained (which apparently is a good thing)!

I am so grateful and like everyone here, including other dogs, I share with them and do not guard my food or treats, like some of them. I know you will LOVE me! They all say I will make a great friend and companion.

If you have been looking for a truly special forever fur friend, then you don't need to look any further. It's me - that cute little REDHEAD with the beautiful green eyes - BAXTER!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Baxter, a Hot Springs Basenji dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Basenji for sale in Hot Springs, or seeking a Basenji dog from a breeder in Hot Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hot Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hot Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Basenji breeders who help with Basenji rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hot Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
