Mandy's Story...

Mandy is a 2 year-old American Bulldog/American Staffordshire Terrier, approx 40-45 lbs.

Mandy is a sweet pup who adores attention. She loves belly rubs, hugs, walks, playing fetch, is a champ at tug of war, and loves to run. She is an active dog and loves joining in on any activity. Mandy is a wonderful passenger in the car. In the yard she plays with herself, the other dogs, and loves to sun bathe on the lawn.

Mandy is house trained. She does not get on the furniture or beds. She does not chew household items, and has calm behavior in the house. Mandy is protective of her environment and alerts to strangers and creatures. Mandy does not allow night creatures into her yard!

Mandy is good with our other dogs. She is still a pup and displays that pup behavior! When in trouble she hides behind one of the other dogs. She will military crawl to steal a treat while another dog is distracted. Mandy always tries to be first line for everything! She loves to play tug with the other dogs.

Mandy loves children and is so gentle with them in calm play. She does have a thing for wheels, and starts to play rough when around skateboards, razors, bikes, and roller board luggage (LOL). It's extreme excitement that can be rough for small children.

Mandy needs the security of the love and attention that I believe she lacked. She is a very sweet dog looking for someone to love, and to love her back. Please contact us if you're interested in meeting her.

About Ace of Hearts Dog Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing dogs from various Los Angeles shelters the day they are to be euthanized. Our goal is to help provide animals with a second chance to a happy life and to help reduce pet overpopulation through spay and neuter programs. Once rescued, we place our dogs into loving foster homes while they await adoption. We do not keep dogs in kennels. Placing the dogs in foster homes is the first step to rehabilitation, as it allows us to thoroughly evaluate a dog's demeanor and needs enabling us to make the perfect match of dog and permanent owner. We attribute our high rate of successful placement to our foster program. At Ace of Hearts, we do not discriminate against any breed, including those in the bully breed family. Additionally, Ace of Hearts is dedicated to educating the public on how to be responsible pet owners and on the importance of spaying and neutering. We believe the real solution to pet overpopulation is through spaying and neutering pets.
