Diva the Dane!'s Story...
Diva is a 90 lb, 2 1/2 year old, spayed female chocolate Great Dane, housetrained and up to date on shots. She lives with and is great with kids and cats. She is great with strangers. Diva is a friendly social butterfly with a low to medium activity level. Diva requires a home with NO other dogs. Did you know that Great Danes are hounds? Led by her nose, Diva is highly food motivated, which is great for training and bonding, but she needs to stay out of the kitchen to stay out of trouble. She respects and obeys a baby gate at the kitchen door. Diva also lives with noisy birds, so is fine with a busy environment and loves playing in the yard with the kids.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Diva the Dane!, a Huntsville Great Dane dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane for sale in Huntsville, or seeking a Great Dane dog from a breeder in Huntsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Huntsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Huntsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane breeders who help with Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Huntsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
