Tay and Taz's Info...
| Breed: | Bombay | Color: | Black (Mostly) | Age: | Kitten |
| Sex: | Male | Hair: | Short |
ay and Taz were found a few days in after the hurricane Sandy in south Brooklyn. They are brothers, about 4 months old, sweet and gentle.
They are very unique looking - all black but with tiny white socks as if they dipped their fingers in milk.
In addition Tay has crinkled whiskers and short stumpy tail. He was most likely born this way, we do not suspect abuse or injury.
They are very well behaved and turn their purr motors the moment you pick them up. They are very playful and quite attached so we would like them to stay together, although if you fall in love and already have a kitten loving dog or another cat you can adopt one brother - Tay or Taz... Which one?
Tay and Taz tested negative for FELV and FIV and are up to date on vaccinations. They will be neutered in a few weeks.
Rescue Group Info...
North Brooklyn Cats specializes in taking in orphaned "bottle-babies" from other rescues and from the streets of our neighborhood. These tiny kittens require round-the-clock care and often don't do well in a shelter environment. We have many years experience volunteering and working for shelters and rescue organizations in New York City.
We have special adoption events in the neighborhood and also work with other rescue groups, sharing resources whenever possible.
Cat and kitten adoptions require a $100.00 donation, which helps us cover the costs of delivering them already spayed/neutered, tested for feline AIDS and leukemia, current on vaccines, dewormed and treated for any health problems we were aware of. We generally require that kittens under five months of age be adopted in two's unless you already have another pet. Adoptions require an application that asks for two references and a contract. We deliver your new cat to your home, generally within a few days of getting your application. We are happy to help should you need advice or assistance with your new companion before or after the adoption.
The five boroughs of New York City. In special circumstances, we will consider good homes in surrounding areas.
