Blue - Senior's Info...
| Breed: | Labrador Retriever Mix | Color: | Black | Age: | Adult |
| Size: | Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg) | Sex: | Male |
I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
Black Lab mix
Around 7 years old, male-neutered, 55 lbs.
Crate trained and housebroken and such a good boy that he never needs to be crated because he never gets into anything and is not a barker or chewer!!
Good with all dogs!
Would probably be just fine with cats!
Good with children!
A perfect gentleman in the car and with leash walking!
Blue has spinal arthritis which is managed with medication and a ranch home (no stairs) would be preferable for Blue
He also requires daily medication for hypothyroid
Blue was one of 15 dogs we rescued from Hurricane Isaac in Louisiana and has made a miraculous transformation since he’s been in foster care - gained 18 lbs. after being very emaciated (see his “before” pics in this video: http://www.dogsunlimitedrescue.org/videos/Isaac_dogs_arrived_091612.wmv)
And from Blue’s Foster Mom “Blue is a true southern gentlemen who loves to play ball and to take walks and snuggle in at night. Just a joy to have!”

If you are interested in adopting, please take the first step and complete an Adoption Application located at: http://www.dogsunlimitedrescue.org/Adopt.html
The submission of a completed Application is not a guarantee to adopting the pet and that all applications are processed thoroughly and if approved a home visit/”meet and greet” will be scheduled. If home check is approved and "meet and greet" with all pets involved goes well the Adoption Committee will decide final approval based on all applications received as to which one is the very best fit for the individual dog/cat.
Our goal is to find the right match of our dogs to their new family so all involved are “furever” happy!
All Dogs Unlimited Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, up todate on all shots, and are given a monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.
Upon adoption, all vet records and any current medications are provided to the adopter.

Rescue Group Info...
Dogs Unlimited Rescue, Inc. is an all volunteer non-profit 501(c)3 organization that is dedicated to educating the public and saving abused and neglected animals from an uncertain fate. Our organization rescues animals from high kill shelters, abuse or neglect cases, owner surrenders, and the breeding parents in Ohio puppy mills that would otherwise be inhumanely disposed of. We improved their lives by providing quality care and placement into permanent loving homes. We will continue to educate, rescue, rehabilitate and encourage the adoption of pets from shelters and rescue groups.
Gina Lutes-Finley
Founder & Executive Director
Dogs Unlimited Rescue
Our rescue animals are fostered in approved homes. these homes and fosters are carefully chosen and qualified on a case by case basis. We conduct adoption events at Pet People in Woodmere and Hudson, OH as well as combine fundraisers with adoption events to promote Rescue efforts and recruit volunteers and donors.
Our adoption fees range from $50 to $300. Dogs Unlimited Rescue requires an adoption application to be filled out by the potential adopter, which requires 2 personal references and a vet reference. After the potential adopter is approved to adopt, the adopter is required to fill out an adoption agreement at the time of the adoption which clearly states all requirements and agreements between the adopter and DogsUnlimited Rescue.
(Please be advised we do not ship our dogs; we do not adopt our unaltered pups out-of-state; and we do not have a physical shelter - all our dogs are cared for in loving foster homes)
We serve the following counties: Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Summit, Stark, Loraine, Portage and Medina.
