| Size: | Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less | Sex: | Male |
I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.
I've been in rescue for a YEAR?? WHY?? I want a permanent home!
Male Chihuahua, Around -4 years old, neutered, about 7 1/2 lbs.
Myron was found with a female Chihuahua we call his "wife" as a stray in the Cleveland area. His wife was "with child" and together, they had 3 beautiful baby girls. Those girls all live together today (what a happy ending) and Myron's wife has been adopted. So now Myron sits in fostercare waiting for his turn for a happy ending.
Not sure what Myron's original life was but he did arrive in pretty bad condition. He had inflamed lungs, a fever, and high liver scores. He was also missing most of his muscle for his back legs; not to mention a severe luxating patella in his back left knee. Based on these conditions, we can only assume he was shoved in a cage and never let out.
Once Myron's basic health and liver was stabilized, he underwent surgery on his back left knee which is now as good as new!!
Myron is a very friendly Chihuahua! Not your typical personality that is partial to certain people. Yes, of course his loves his foster mom, but Myron likes everyone and would NEVER EVER be nippy to any person. In fact, he'll greet your guests at the door...and do it without barking! He is NOT a barker at all..and does not care to watch out the window for anything going on. I guess he's just not nosy like that. Instead, Myron is happy sitting on your lap .. very quietly, In fact, if you are a person who likes to take your dog to places, this is the dog to take. He would also make a terrific therapy dog!!
Myron's only issue is taking to bigger dogs. He seems to be quite happy around dogs his size (or possibly up to 12 lbs.) but around the bigger guys, he's not so friendly. He acts all tough .. which only gets him in trouble as he doesn't defend himself very well. You think that would make him back off and not think he's "all that" but that's the chihuahua coming out. So, Myron can go to a home with another dog, it just has to be around his size.
Myron is also fine with cats.
This sweet boy has been in rescue for a year. And he is as sweet as can be. He needs a family!
To see more pictures of adorable Myron and/or to complete an Adoption Application, please go to:http://www.dogsunlimitedrescue.org/Adopt.html
The submission of a completed Application is not a guarantee to adopting the pet and that all applications are processed thoroughly and if approved a home visit/”meet and greet” will be scheduled. If home check is approved and "meet and greet" with all pets involved goes well the Adoption Committee will decide final approval based on all applications received as to which one is the very best fit for the individual dog/cat.
Our goal is to find the right match of our dogs to their new family so all involved are “furever” happy!
All Dogs Unlimited Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on all shots, and are given a monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.
Upon adoption, all vet records and any current medications are provided to the adopter.

Rescue Group Info...
Dogs Unlimited Rescue, Inc. is an all volunteer non-profit 501(c)3 organization that is dedicated to educating the public and saving abused and neglected animals from an uncertain fate. Our organization rescues animals from high kill shelters, abuse or neglect cases, owner surrenders, and the breeding parents in Ohio puppy mills that would otherwise be inhumanely disposed of. We improved their lives by providing quality care and placement into permanent loving homes. We will continue to educate, rescue, rehabilitate and encourage the adoption of pets from shelters and rescue groups.
Gina Lutes-Finley
Founder & Executive Director
Dogs Unlimited Rescue
Our rescue animals are fostered in approved homes. these homes and fosters are carefully chosen and qualified on a case by case basis. We conduct adoption events at Pet People in Woodmere and Hudson, OH as well as combine fundraisers with adoption events to promote Rescue efforts and recruit volunteers and donors.
Our adoption fees range from $50 to $300. Dogs Unlimited Rescue requires an adoption application to be filled out by the potential adopter, which requires 2 personal references and a vet reference. After the potential adopter is approved to adopt, the adopter is required to fill out an adoption agreement at the time of the adoption which clearly states all requirements and agreements between the adopter and DogsUnlimited Rescue.
(Please be advised we do not ship our dogs; we do not adopt our unaltered pups out-of-state; and we do not have a physical shelter - all our dogs are cared for in loving foster homes)
We serve the following counties: Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Summit, Stark, Loraine, Portage and Medina.
