Kiira's Story...
If you are interested in viewing or adopting these kitties, please go to www.orphankittenrescue.com/adopt and fill out an application.

Kiira is energetic and full of spirit. Named after a Finnish ice-skater, Kiira is carefree and cool as ice, but also sweet and warm at the same time. Kiira is adventurous and becomes very attached to her family.

Kiira is a sleek, loving, and playful ball of energy. Bold and inquisitive, she will chase anything that moves – and some things that don’t. She especially loves wrestling with and grooming her siblings, and should definitely have an energetic kitty playmate, preferably one of her siblings, in her new home. When you scoop her up for a cuddle, Kiira will delight you with her purring. Kiira loves to burrow in large canvas shopping bags, then bounce out to play or snuggle.

Kiira and Nienna really should go together - they sleep together in a little pile curled up in a drawer, and it's just the cutest thing. They are both great with children, friendly and playful.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kiira, a Vancouver Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
