Nienna's Story...
If you are interested in viewing or adopting these kitties, please go to www.orphankittenrescue.com/adopt and fill out an application.

Named after the Tolkien "Goddess of Tears," Nienna has a beautiful tear mark that accurately represents her kind and sympathetic nature. Nienna is remarkably attentive, but can be very adventurous at playtime.

Pretty Nienna is a bit shyer than her siblings (her brother Luke has already been adopted), but it doesn’t slow her down. She is champion of jumping to catch a laser pointer, gives her sister Kiira a run for her money in wrestling matches, then curls up with the humans for some love. Nienna always wants company. Kiira and Nienna really should go together - they sleep together in a little pile curled up in a drawer, and it's just the cutest thing. They are both great with children, friendly, and playful.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nienna, a Vancouver Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
