found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am housetrained, purebred, a special needs pet, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and not good with cats.
Stormy was transferred to us from an animal control after she was found as a stray and never claimed. She was in terrible condition, and we are slowly working to rehab her. She has been with us a month now and made amazing progress in that month. She has numerous health issues going on from yeast infection on her skin to being positive for heartworms. She is not ready for adoption yet, and being a senior, may never find an adopter. If that is the case, then Stormy will live the rest of her life in a foster home being spoiled and hoarding toys in her crate as she is fond of doing. Even though Stormy is not ready to go yet, we do have other senior Giant Schnauzers that are available, if you are interested.
Because Stormy was microchipped, she was tracked to one of her previous owners who shared pictures of her in her younger days. Obviously she has not been treated well since she was sold. Use Stormy's story as a lesson to always screen and follow-up with your pets if you have to re-home them. Also, please spay and neuter them.
If you are interested in one of our Schnauzers, please visit www.bsro.org to review our adoption requirements and complete an application. We require home visits and at least one group obedience class for our dogs. Placements will only be done where our volunteers can do a home visit. As we work under the national Giant Schnauzer rescue, www.ht-z.org, our Giants can be placed anywhere they have a volunteer also
