Mr. Specs has been with me appr. 5 yrs, I quit posting him because he never got any "hits". Mr. Specs came with a litter of pups that had parvo, his litter mates were rescued while Mr. Specs stayed with me to get well. In a freak accident, Mr. Specs was hit by a car and injured his shoulder, causing one leg to be slightly shorter than the others and he has had ACLsurgery on both of his back legs. He gets around just fine, but with age the WV winters are getting harder to get through. Mr. Specs would make a great companion, loves to go for walks. He is good with other dogs (he's been my foster Dad while here to MANY pups), cats and people. Neutered and current on shots.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mr. Specs, a Danbury Bluetick Coonhound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bluetick Coonhound for sale in Danbury, or seeking a Bluetick Coonhound dog from a breeder in Danbury.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Danbury already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Danbury breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bluetick Coonhound breeders who help with Bluetick Coonhound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Danbury paves the way for another one to be saved.
