Sadie's Story...
Sadie is a purebred shih tzu puppy. The vet estimates that she is 9 months old (estimated D.O.B. 3-22-12), and she weighs 10.8 pounds. She is a very playful, active little girl and likes to be close to people. She is crate trained, but we don’t know too much about her housetraining just yet. Sadie is spayed, up to date on her immunizations, heartworm negative and on preventative. She will not be placed in a home with children under the age of 8 or with a dog weighing more than 25 pounds. Sadie’s adoption donation is $200, and she is being fostered in Birmingham, Alabama. We do approve out of state adoptions, but the adopter must be willing to drive to the foster home to “fetch” the new family member. We do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in adopting this sweet baby, the first step is to submit an APPLICATION.

We do not place any dog in a home with "invisible" or underground fencing.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sadie, a Mooy Shih Tzu puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Mooy, or seeking a Shih Tzu puppy from a breeder in Mooy.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Mooy already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Mooy breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Mooy paves the way for another one to be saved.
