Wilson's Story...
At Kiko, we feel that Beagles get a bad rap. It is true that they are not for everyone, but what dog is? Wilson is one of two wonderful Beagles that we currently have available for adoption. He was obviously trained but then, for reasons we will never understand, was seen being dumped out of a car in a town north of Montreal. Wilson is proving to be an excellent house guest at his foster home and gets along well with the other dogs there. While Beagles are known for following their noses, Wilson has been off leash and stays with his new pack. He is big for a Beagle, could possibly be a mix, but certainly does not look the 55 pounds that he weighed in at. Wilson is not a big eater so perhaps is more used to table food, which would also explain his generous girth. Wilson is quiet and easygoing, and would make a great family pet for even first-time dog owners.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wilson, a Rigaud Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Rigaud, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Rigaud.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Rigaud already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Rigaud breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Rigaud paves the way for another one to be saved.
