Spunky's Story...
If you are interested in viewing or adopting this kitty, please go to www.orphankittenrescue.com/adopt and fill out an application.

Spunky is adorable and gentle. Though somewhat timid, he loves being caressed and cuddling on laps. If you are looking for a loving, well-behaved and undemanding cat, Spunky is it.

When not resting, Spunky loves chasing bouncy balls. He tends to have his favourite spots and stick to them. Sometimes he explores, but rarely for long. He eats well, uses his litter box, and is very clean.

Spunky would do very well in a home with people who are willing to give him time to adjust. He is great around children (ours are 11 and 8) but I would recommend that the children be able to give him the space he needs to come out of his shell. This kitty is a gem.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Spunky, a Vancouver Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Vancouver, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Vancouver.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vancouver already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vancouver breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vancouver paves the way for another one to be saved.
