Penelope's Story...
Hello, my name is PENELOPE (6 mths & 22lbs). I am a very sweet little shy girl here at the adoption center that would love to have a new home where I would be all spoiled and pampered and loved on. I came in here with my brother Phoenix. I love him dearly! I need a little training on the leash idea but I will catch on eventually with the right family guiding me. So please come and meet me, all I need is a nice smile and a soft hand and I will flourish, I hope to see you soon!

About Our Shelter...
The Columbiana County Dog Pound is a small, rural shelter in eastern Ohio. At one time, only a small percentage of the dogs entering the Pound made it out alive. Now, thanks to the vision of the County Commissioners, the Pound staff, and a dedicated group of volunteers, the Pound has become a source of hope. It is a place where lives are saved, not lost.

Columbiana was one of the first counties in the state to require that all dogs be spayed/neutered before leaving the Pound. This policy addresses the pet overpopulation problem at its source.

So take a look at our pooches and meet the dog of your dreams!

Monday - Wednesday: 9am to 12pm, 1pm to 4pm
Thursday: 9am to 12pm, 1pm to 4pm
Friday: 9am to 12pm, 1pm to 4pm
Saturday: 9am to 12pm
Sunday: Closed.

Our Adoption Process...
The adoption fee is $100, which includes a DHLPP vaccine, a rabies vaccine, de-worming, an Ohio dog license, and spay/neuter surgery. Additional low-cost vet care is available upon request.

Approved rescue groups can pull dogs at reduced fees.

We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
Columbiana County, Ohio. The Pound is located in Lisbon, Ohio (an hour from Pittsburgh and 90 minutes from Cleveland).
