Lucy is very very shy, and will run if you try to pet her, though she will sneak up on the bed if you are sleeping so she can sit next to you. She loves to sit in the window and to play with balls, especially superballs. Lucy will grow on you slowly she is very sweet and needs a patient soul who can give her the time and attention she needs to become comfortable in her surroundings. She has bonded w/every foster kitty we have had so she must be adopted into a home with other friendly cats or adopted with her buddy,OREO (also on ADOPT-A-PET!), who is being fostered with her currently. :) Lucy will absolutely NEED the company of another kitty(ies). She's is also okay with children and will not bother them- she simply will not seek their attention.
Pretty Lucy was rescued from Devore when she was just 3 months old and ill. She was so frightened she would not
come out from hiding to eat or get meds and as a result was very sick. Our foster OREO was able to help her adjust and help us help Lucy get well. She is now fully vetted and ready for a perfect forever home! We would LOVE to see her placed together with OREO or with one of our other fosters she has bonded with. Kitty Devore Network is a non profit group comprised of dedicated volunteer rescue workers devoted to the networking, rescuing, rehabilitating, and re homing of the cats and kittens currently housed within Devore Shelter in the city of Muscoy in San Bernardino county, California.
Each day, we work diligently to coordinate rescue efforts designed to save the cats and kittens unfortunate enough to be admitted into the Devore shelter. Through the use of social networking, we work to gain exposure for each of them as a means of recruiting foster families who can care for them temporarily until a more permanent home can be found or adopters who can commit to providing them with the life long and loving home they each deserve.
Our rescue efforts don't end when a cat is safely liberated from the shelter. Oftentimes, it's only the beginning- but we think they're worth all the effort to ensure that they have that second chance at a long, happy, and well-loved life.
Our kitties truly are special, and we invite you to meet them here on the pages of petfinder. We DO have a kitty that will compliment you and your family and bring you many happy moments and memories, year after year. We sincerely look forward to introducing you to our little ones, and you know what? Our furbabies can't wait to meet you wonderful humans too. :)

Step 1: Fill out the adoption form/contract.
Step 2: Set up a meet and greet with your potential kitty to see just how wonderful he or she really is!
Step 3:Schedule a safe and friendly home check with us.
Step4: An adoption fee if you and kitty are a purrfect match!
