Blackie's Story...

Blackie was rescued at 4 weeks old by a very kind lady who was caring for her and her feral mother. She was born approx. 4/5/11., full grown, and will always be a cute little kitty. Many “black” cats are actually very dark tabbies and have stripes under bright light, but she is a true black cat without a single white hair.

She is still “kitten” playful, friendly, and likes human contact – petting, being held, purring a lot, etc... She’s a fairly quiet, laid-back cat and doesn’t get into much trouble, and likes sharing beds and curling up on the sofa with her people. She loves many different kinds of toys, and likes to chase “flying” things like Da Bird.

Blackie has two siblings, Precious and Zorro, who she is very close to (particularly her sister) and has lived with all her life. She is used to the company of other cats (would do well in a multi-cat home), and if you’re considering adopting two, one of her siblings would be an ideal match. She also gets along with Raquel pretty well. She may have a bit of separation anxiety if adopted by herself, but cats are very adaptable and she’ll likely adjust just fine.

She is very well-behaved, generally keeps off of counters and tables and such, and has perfect litter box habits. She is not fearful of strangers. She’s never lived with a dog and might do OK with a gentle dog.

Come see me at Petco, 6300 San Mateo NE at San Mateo/Academy Saturdays and Sundays from 11am-5pm.
When you do bring me home, make a 'safe' room for me while I get used to the smells and sounds of my new home.  I'll adjust better this way!  This will also give me a 'safe' place to go if I get scared.
Please call FAT KATZ, 505-293-2830 or email FatKatzAbq@Gmail.com for more info or questions!  You can also inquire about fostering cats because we always need fosters!  The number fosters we have determines how many kitties we can help!
