Bowie's Story...
How adorable is Bowie?! He sure is a ROCKSTAR! His foster mom raves about how wonderful he is and an absolute angel since day one! He is passive with other dogs, although he does love attention so he does nudge his way in to get his fair share but he's not rude about it at all. He sleeps through the night, rides very well in the car even for long car rides. He is SUPER cuddly so anyone interested in his sweet guy MUST love a lap dog! He will sleep in bed with you if you let him and this time of the year it's perfect because he is such a great foot warmer! He loves to follow us human beings around, always curious as to what we are doing but never getting in the way. He also has what's called a "submissive grin." He lifts his top lips, pulls them back and a beautiful white, pearly smile appears, along with happy squinty eyes and a bright pink tongue - all to say "HI! Don't you think I'm cute?!" If you agree, Bowie then proceeds to continue smiling but adds in an adorable wiggly behind to boot! He's quite the character! He's sure to make you smile as big as him after seeing his whole presentation!

Bowie is looking for a home with daily walks and of course as state above plenty of daily snuggle time is an absolute must for our lover boy! A canine friend or two would be fine but Bowie could live as an only child as well. Most of all Bowie is looking for a family that will love him as much as he loves them! If you think you have what he's looking for, please fill out an application for our little rockstar today - www.azrescue.org.

Bowie weighed 20.3 pounds when we saved him from the kill list.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bowie, a Phoenix Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
