Marco's Story...
Looking for adventure! That's the perfect way to describe Marco! He is an active boy who is looking for adventure. Adventure for Marco would be things like: hiking, jogging, wrestling, agility, catch and just about any other sporting activity you can think of. We're sure that if Marco had thumbs he would play all the sports! He's an active, happy boy that loves to be involved in all the action!

Marco loves people too! He's happy to give you a few kisses so say he cares! He is always looking to his human friends as if to say "where are we off to today! I love hanging out with you!" This handsome boy always seems to be smiling and while his photos might make him look big he's actually only about 26 pounds! He's just a tall guy!!

Marco gets along well with other dogs but could be fine living as an only dog too. He does need a lot of exercise to keep his mind and body healthy. So if you're looking for a companion to take with you on your adventures, look no further! Marco is the boy for you! To learn more - www.azrescue.org.

Marco weighed 25.9 pounds when we saved him from the kill list.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Marco, a Phoenix Australian Kelpie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Kelpie for sale in Phoenix, or seeking a Australian Kelpie dog from a breeder in Phoenix.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Phoenix already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Phoenix breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Kelpie breeders who help with Australian Kelpie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Phoenix paves the way for another one to be saved.
