Hunter in Houston's Story...
Hunter is a handsome tri color smooth coat male. He is about 4 years old. A true Texas fan through and through! Hunter loves to snuggle up and watch the game or any sports on TV. Unlike some JRTs, he is a very gentle natured dog. He enjoys running in the backyard and long walks. He will lay on your lap and listne to your day as he has a tummy rub. Hunter will also hog the bed if he is allowed, but makes a warm cuddle buddy for the upcoming cool nights. Hunter will push his way into your heart. We are hoping for a loving and fairly quiet home for Hunter. He will get along with a female dog best. And, he does like to play. Adoption fee is 200 dollars. If you would like to adopt him fill out the online application on www.russellrescue.com.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hunter in Houston, a Austin Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Austin, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
