Peanut's Story...
Peanut is the other dog that was dropped off with Luigi and he is SUPER cute. We do not have a lot of information on him. We believe that he is 6 months to 1 year old and is a beautiful silver color. He was also very thin but has been eating heartily so he should be well on his way to getting back to a healthy weight. He is very sweet and appears to want to be friends with everyone. He is not food aggressive and he is very friendly with children(our grandson has been petting him and loving on him) Peanut will do well in a loving home and should have no problem transitioning into any environment. Peanut's adoption fee will be $200 to help cover his vetting and care while with us. If interested in giving Peanut a loving home, please e-mail your interest and your adoption application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Peanut, a Chiefland Dachshund puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Chiefland, or seeking a Dachshund puppy from a breeder in Chiefland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chiefland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chiefland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chiefland paves the way for another one to be saved.
