He is a purebred Mastiff pup, about 9 months old and already weighs in at 90lbs! He is a good dog, but because he has grown so quickly, he has some hip issues which require medication. The owner could not afford to pay for the medication and did not want to take on any additional veterinary bills for the future, she has two other dogs already. We have X-Rays and have him on a medication regimen. He is responding extremely well. It is hopeful that as he grows into his body at a more natural pace that his problem will resolve. He is housetrained, trained on the invisible fence, good on a leash, but does pull at times. He is good in a car, and is a friendly dog. Because of his hip issues we would recommend no other dogs in the home who might play rough with him and potentially hurt him. He is fixed, up to date on shots and microchipped.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

DOZER PUREBRED, a Danbury Mastiff puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mastiff for sale in Danbury, or seeking a Mastiff puppy from a breeder in Danbury.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Danbury already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Danbury breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mastiff breeders who help with Mastiff rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Danbury paves the way for another one to be saved.
