Charlie's Story...
Charlie is the cutiest little guy ever. He is only 31-32" tall, and should mature around 34" max. He came to us having no respect of humans. Although we have done a great deal of work with him on this, and he has come a long way, he still has a long way to go. He is not recommended for home with small children at this time. Our vet recommended waiting on gelding until the spring, and therefore his adoption fee is reduced to include the expense of this by his adopter.

Rescue Group Info...

About Our Rescue Group...
Happy Days Miniature Horse Rescue is a small rescue located in north central Ohio. We were founded in 2011 out of the realization that there are so many Equine Rescues, but none that are for miniature horses and donkeys. We focus mainly on Miniature Horse Rescue, but are always willing to help out all Equine if possible.

Our goal is not just to rescue Minis, but also to help educate horse owners/lovers about proper equine care, training, and treatment.

We strongly believe that the key to happy horse ownership is education and understanding.

Donate to Our Rescue Group...
We are currently seeking donations to help with residing the barn for the horses. It is currently painted, but the wind and rain from hurricane Sandy has taken a huge toll on it. Any donations small or large would greatly be appreciated by our little friends. http://happydaysminiaturehorserescue.webs.com/apps/donations/

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Charlie, a New London Miniature was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature for sale in New London, or seeking a Miniature from a breeder in New London.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New London already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New London breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature breeders who help with Miniature rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New London paves the way for another one to be saved.
