Spike's Story...
Spike: 7 mth old black & rust male neutered, undocked tail and uncropped ears. 17", 14 lb. Fully vetted. Rescued from shelter.
Spike is a beautiful and happy min pin puppy. He is tall and slender and has the softest coat. He LOVES to play with other dogs and would do great in a home that has someone for him to play with. Having another dog would help him burn off a lot of his energy as he is extremely high strung. He is doing very good about using the dog door and going outside to take care of his business. The first day he was here he was afraid of the staircase but by day 2 he was going up and down with no problems. We have been working on some basic commands and he learns very quickly. He is always at the front door to greet me when I come home and he dances on his hind legs until I pick him up so he can give me kisses. I don’t think Spike ever had toys to play with before he came here but it hasn’t take him long to learn. He seems to enjoy playing with the tug ropes the most because he can roll around with them, toss them and of course get the other dogs to chase him around. He hasn’t quite figured out the squeaky toys as he pulled one out of the toy box and when it squeaked he dropped it and he now walks around it like he thinks it is going to get him. After a bid day of playing he loves to cuddle up on your lap or he will sit and flop his head on your chest and go to sleep. He likes to sleep in the bed at night but beware he SNORES when he is in a deep sleep. If you are looking for a dog that is high energy yet very very loving Spike could be the one for you.
Note: Spike is located in Nashville, TN - and we will not fly this boy.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Spike, a Nashville Miniature Pinscher puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Pinscher for sale in Nashville, or seeking a Miniature Pinscher puppy from a breeder in Nashville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Nashville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Nashville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Nashville paves the way for another one to be saved.
