Timber-URGENT!'s Story...
Timber is an absolutely beautiful boy with a wonderful spirit! He was found as a stray with a chain embedded in his neck. He has had it cleaned up and is on an antibiotic and it is healing nicely. He obviously was not cared for by his former family. In spite of his ordeal he is happy, loving, likes to play and can't wait for a home that will treat him like the treasure that he is. We believe he is between 1 and 2 years old and he is ready to go!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Timber-URGENT!, a Portland Husky dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Husky for sale in Portland, or seeking a Husky dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Husky breeders who help with Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
