Kujo's Info...

I am good with kids and good with dogs.

Kujo's Story...
Kujo is a 3 year old male dachshund mix. He is very loving and friendly. He was rescued from a section 8 housing complex where the children were using him as target practice with BB guns. Kujo has remained friendly with people, and to sustain his good nature and comfort, we would like to place him in a home without guns or small children. Kujo is heartworm positive and will need to stay on antibiotics for 1 month and HW prevention twice a month. He is very sweet and joy to have around.

Meet Kujo and other adoptable pets at our adoption events in PetSmart on Shepherd & Alabama every Saturday and Sunday 11am-4pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kujo, a Houston Dachshund/Pekingese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund/Pekingese for sale in Houston, or seeking a Dachshund/Pekingese dog from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund/Pekingese breeders who help with Dachshund/Pekingese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
