In partnership with Middle Tennessee German Shepherd Rescue, Cherokee is available for adoption through Tennessee SPCA. She is a 3-year-old German Shepherd Dog and has a high energy level. She gets along with dogs her size but does not do well with small dogs. Cherokee has been spayed, is current on vaccinations, current on heartworm and flea/tick preventative, and has been microchipped.
If you are interested in setting up an appointment to meet Cherokee, please email spcatn.gsd@gmail.com or call 615-218-6478

Rescue Group Info...
Middle Tennessee German Shepherd Rescue is dedicated to the mission of providing medical care, temperament evaluation, rehabilitation, training and placement of German Shepherd Dogs and other herding/working breeds. Our program includes dogs rescued from shelters, dogs found as strays by individuals, as well as owner-surrenders needing to be re-homed. Prior to adoption, all dogs are spayed/neutered, brought up-to-date on all vaccinations, are heartworm tested and micro-chipped. Our extremely high placement success rate results from carefully matching the right dog with the right family; Our goal is to provide German Shepherd Dogs permanent homes with qualified owners.
Our dogs are available to meet prospective adopters by appointment only.
Our adoption process includes:
(1) submission of an adoption application which includes a request for vet references
(2) meet-and-greet with available dogs to find one that will be a compatible match with the family and existing pets
(3) home visit
(4) adoption contract and adoption fee
We primarily serve middle Tennessee including Davidson county and surrounding counties, and neighboring states as space and resources permit.
