Lara's Story...
Lara is a very sweet, beautiful 6 month old girl. A kind woman found her on the street as a very small, very skinny kitten who was obviously bullied and not able to get much food due to the bigger street cats. Unfortunately, the woman's landlord would not let her keep the kitten and she was given to us to find a forever home. Lara is very timid, but is a complete sweetheart. She takes a little time to warm up to someone, but once she does, she likes to be around them. She'll snuggle up on the bed with you and she loves to have her long beautiful coat groomed. She's come a long way since we first got her, but she still needs someone who is willing to be patient with her & give her time to adjust to a new home. We know she'll be worth the wait! Lara likes other cats so she should go to a home that has another feline already, or someone who is willing to adopt her and another kitten. Lara is available for adoption or foster-to-adopt. Please contact us for more information and a chance to meet Lara!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lara, a Brooklyn Maine Coon kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Maine Coon kitten from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
