Oliver "Ollie"'s Story...
Oliver was on the county list to be put to sleep because he was fearful. He is a neutered, up to date on vaccinations 3 year old rat terrier. Super sweet, small dog, beautiful creme and tan coloring. Very quiet and a bit on the shy side. Does ok with other dogs. Potty trained and learning to use a doggy door. Crate trained at night, Likes a lap, but is also likes just hanging out. Very laid back and gentle. I think this dog would be great for an elderly person or family with older children. No small children due to being timid.

My adoption fee is $160 – I will be micro-chipped prior to adoption

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Oliver "Ollie", a Surprise Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Surprise, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Surprise.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Surprise already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Surprise breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Surprise paves the way for another one to be saved.
