My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Twinkie Marie...Golden Retriever born 1/2012.........  This young lady is a love.  She had a slow start in life as she was in a home that had no time for her at all and she was never socialized or taught anything at all .  As a result she came to us a very sweet girl but one who needed a lot of work. She is in a wonderful foster home now and has come along very well.  Our assessment is that she has a great deal of potential and is going to be a great dog.  She didn't have a lot of confidence and she would spook easily plus she had no clue about anything but we have learned that she is a very smart little girl who needs structure and an owner where her training will continue.  We would like to see her enrolled in obedience class as the socialization would be good for her.  Twinkie is fine with other dogs and cats but needs to learn "take it easy".  If she is placed with another dog we prefer a calmer dog as she tends to get a little crazy playing.  Also we will not place her in a home with young children.  All of her vetting is done and our vet thinks she is a good dog as well.  She has learned to play with toys and has learned some basic commands.  Bottom line is that she is a young dog who never really got to be a puppy but who now is learning about life and is very trainable with the right owner.  If you are interested in Twinkie Marie please contact Keeper Rescue at keeperrescue@gmail.com telling them a bit about yourself and where you live.  An application and home visit are required.
