Mira's Story...
We would like to explain that if you are looking for a perfect dog, they are rarely found in rescue. Our dogs often have unknown histories and we do our very best to evaluate each dog with kids, cats, and other dogs as well as determine how they behave in a home. It is important to understand that we have some specific criteria for each dog based on their backgrounds and input from their foster families. The purpose of these criteria is to better match each dog with an appropriate family. While a certain dog might appeal to you based on breed, size, gender or appearance, you may not match the listed criteria. Please understand that we are not trying to make adoption difficult—we are trying to make each adoption successful for the dog and the new family.

PLEASE CLICK ON "READ MORE ABOUT THIS PET" FOR COMPLETE INFORMATION!

If you have children, we suggest that prior to applying for a dog, you view the website http://www.livingwithkidsanddogs.com. The information is excellent and can help you determine which dog would be right for your family.

Mira is a lovely 1 year old 55 pound lab mix who was found along a country road alone and pregnant. A good Samaritan picked her up and took her home where she had two big puppies. They have been adopted already and Mom is now ready for her forever home. Mira is a happy, playful dog who adores everyone she meets and has a great temperament. She is house trained, crate trained, and loves to play with toys. Mira likes other dogs and would to have another playful dog in her new home and an active family. She walks pretty well on the leash and enjoys going for long walks and playing in the fenced-in yard. Mira is good with school aged kids and will be a wonderful dog for almost any family. She is a playful dog who enjoys exercise, and obedience training will be helpful for her in learning basic commands. Mira is with a 501c3 non profit rescue. Her $300 adoption fee is to cover her spay, heartworm test and pill, shots, worming, and HomeAgain microchip. This is a READY MADE DOG so if you are looking for a great companion, please consider Mira!

To ensure that this dog thrives in his new home and that the adoption works out for the dog and your family, these are the requirements for adoption. These criteria are not negotiable. If you do not meet these criteria, please choose another dog that will work out better for your family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mira, a Osseo Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Osseo, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Osseo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Osseo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Osseo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Osseo paves the way for another one to be saved.
