Phil's Story...
Phil was rescued from a kill shelter. He was a little shy at first but once he discovered pleasures of belly rubs he decided that humans were not so bad after all. Phil loves other kittens and cats and he will be placed with a friend or in a home where there is another cat or a cat loving dog.

Phil looks like a Maine Coon but since he came from a shelter we cannot be sure that he really represents this wonderful breed. He certainly looks it. He is very handsome and may grow quite big.

Phil is scheduled to be nuetered in mid-January.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Phil, a Brooklyn Maine Coon kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maine Coon for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Maine Coon kitten from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maine Coon breeders who help with Maine Coon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
