I was trapped to be spayed as a feral cat, but the volunteers at the clinic could tell I was too friendly to be an outdoor cat, so they asked AnimaLovers to find me a home. I was a little shy when I first went to my foster home; but whenever my foster mom picked me up, I’d purr and purr. Now, I wait for her to pick me up and cuddle – I LOVE cuddling! I also love sleeping on the bed – it’s sure comfy!
Having other friendly cats in my foster home made it easier for me to adjust. I was very curious and outgoing with them right away – you could tell I wanted to be buddies. Watching them also helped me realize my foster mom wouldn’t hurt me – so I really need another cat companion in my new home. I’m very friendly, sweet and gentle. My foster mom says I’m so gentle she thinks I’d be fine with children, as long as we were properly introduced. For a kitten, I’m pretty low key, but I am learning to play with toys – so watch out! Call 448-5468, and press 1 for the adoption line!
Rescue Group Info...
AnimaLovers was founded in 1995 by a small group of friends who wanted to provide needy cats and dogs in the Capital District of New York with a better way to find their way to safety and new lives. As of 2011, AnimaLovers is serving cats, only. AnimaLovers's mission is to:
* To provide housing, veterinary care, and adoption for unwanted, abandoned, injured, or stray cats;
* To educate adopters, as well as the general public, about the health and training needs of our companion animals;
* To promote spaying and neutering as an efficient and humane means of animal population control; and
* To advocate for legislation that will prevent cruelty to animals.
In addition, AnimaLovers has expanded beyond the boundaries of cat and dog rescue and adoption to meet the needs of other animals as well by creating programs to help families keep their companion animals healthy by providing low cost spay/neuter services and emergency veterinary care.
