Dingo's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Dingo's Story...
Dingo is a very handsome Irish Wolfhound mix. We have no idea what he is mixed with (from those ears, we'd guess kangaroo) - maybe some sort of shepherd. He is a big boy, we are guessing around 100 pounds and will update his weight once we get him onto a big scale! Dingo came to us when his current owner, who has only had him for a year, had to move away and couldn't take him. No one is sure how old Dingo is; best guess is between 4-7 years. There is no grey on his muzzle, and he is a healthy boy, though he did come in with a small wound on one of his legs.

Dingo is housetrained, reported to like cats and children, and seems to get along fine with other dogs. He is good on leash, good in the car, and knows some basic commands. He may have a little bit of separation anxiety, so is probably best in a home where all the people are not gone 8 hours a day working. His former owner says he enjoys fetch, but we have not been able to interest him in playing yet. He's been through at least 2 owners, and is really hoping his next home will be his last. Do you have lots of love for this big, cuddly, well-behaved boy? We hate seeing him so sad in his shelter kennel, and hope to be sending him home with you soon!

We've included a short video of Dingo; he's so big he doesn't quite fit in our indoor video area, so we'll try to get a better video when the weather is good enough for an outdoor romp.

As an adult, Dingo comes with a 30-day money-back trial adoption period.

Spay/neuter, worming, microchip and all age-appropriate shots are always completed before placement, and are included in the adoption fee (suggested minimum $75; more gratefully accepted!)

Can't come to Republic? Don't let that stop you! We have monthly transports to both the Seattle area and Spokane, delivering adopted pets to their new owners. If you can add a little to your payment to help us cover our volunteer driver's expenses, that would be great!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dingo, a Republic Irish Wolfhound/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Irish Wolfhound/Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Republic, or seeking a Irish Wolfhound/Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Republic.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Republic already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Republic breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Irish Wolfhound/Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Irish Wolfhound/Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Republic paves the way for another one to be saved.
