Figgy Puddin's Story...
Figgy Puddin and his brother and sister were picked up by animal control and taken to a high kill shelter after mom was injured. She was either shot thru the ear and neck or something big got her. She is doing fine and will be available for adoption soon. She is a very good mommy and her pups are good and healthy. They are 8 weeks old now and have had two rounds of puppy shots and worming. They will get their third set and be ready for adoption and transport on 12/21. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Figgy Puddin, a Beacon Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever for sale in Beacon, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever puppy from a breeder in Beacon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Beacon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Beacon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Beacon paves the way for another one to be saved.
