Buzz's Story...
"Guess what...the Holidays are just around the corner, and I'd sure love to have a new forever home with you. My name is BUZZ, and I'm a 10-month old Pit Bull fellow who is fun, loving, and also very handsome. I'm easy-going and fairly mellow, although I love to play fetch and go for walks. I love people, and I'll lean into you as you scratch or brush my beautiful black and white coat (and check out my markings!). I do enjoy getting my exercise, as I'm a pretty young fellow, but I'm not one of those overly-energetic types. I guess you'd call me well-balanced. I know some commands, too, like "sit." Since I'm a smart boy, I know I will learn new things quickly. I get along well with other dogs, and I would make a good pet in a home with older children. The shelter staff isn't sure if I'm house trained, so they're still watching me. At night when it is very quiet here at the shelter, that is a very special time for us, because that is when all of the animals share their hopes and dreams about finding a new forever home. I'd love to have a yard, where I could enjoy myself and get some exercise, and I'd love to have my very own comfy dog bed in the house, so that I could always be close to my person or family. A trip to our shelter wouldn't be complete until we have had a chance to meet and get to know each other, so just ask our kind Shelter Staff introduce you to the incredibly fun, sweet, loving and very intelligent fellow whose name is BUZZ, and we may just discover that we are meant to be best friends "FUR"EVER. You can bet that I'll be watching and waiting for you, and also listening for the sound of your footsteps as you get close to my kennel. Let's have some fun, and let's get acquainted soon. Love, Buzz" Kennel #62

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Buzz, a El Cajon American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in El Cajon, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in El Cajon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in El Cajon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a El Cajon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in El Cajon paves the way for another one to be saved.
