Sherman's Story...
My story: A lady was trying to feed me but her daughter-in-law forbid her to do it anymore and kept taking my food away. The lady brought me to St Francis. I am a sweet boy but I am kind of shy. I've been chased away from the only people who were nice to me so I need to learn to trust again. I'm very playful and I love my friend Toby. He was really sick and I took care of him. I snuggled him when he had a bad cold. Please take me home to live with you and your family. If my friend Toby could come to, my dreams will have come true.
Good with Cats: Yes | Good with Dogs: Yes | Good with Children: Unknown

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sherman, a Tampa Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Tampa, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Tampa.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tampa already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tampa breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tampa paves the way for another one to be saved.
