Turnip's Story...
Hi. My name is Turnip and I am a very sweet and adorable young girl. I have striking markings with a white face and tan and black marks. I am about 3-4 yrs old, and a well behaved 40 lbs. I do great on a leash and would be a fine walking companion. I will make a wonderful family dog, but would be better suited for older children 5+ yrs. I have settled down nicely now and I really enjoy being a lazy couch potato..... email us at blueridgedogresq@aol.com for more info and a chance to meet her.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Turnip, a Charlottesville Australian Shepherd/Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Beagle for sale in Charlottesville, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Beagle dog from a breeder in Charlottesville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Charlottesville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Charlottesville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Beagle breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Charlottesville paves the way for another one to be saved.
