Emma's Story...
Hi, our names are Emma and Misty. We are looking for a home to live in together. Our mommy is named mommy, but most of you know her as Karen. She adopted us both from the Franklin County Shelter many years ago. Mommy has become sick and is no longer able to take care of us. She is in something called HOSPUS and won’t be able to bring us home with her anymore. Mommy said she has many friends that promised to help us find a good home. We are very sad about leaving our mommy so keeping us together would be a good thing, we will need each other for support. We are very good dogs and need a lot of love like our mommy gave us. Please help us find a great home together, in honor of our mommy. It will give her great joy knowing we are together before she leaves us. Thank you,
Emma and Misty

Emma is 8 years old and was adopted from the Shelter. Emma LOVES all people but is particular about her dog friends. She is known to have issues with some dogs but its not clear if there is a pattern to this discrimination. Emma is a very loving and loyal companion who loves to play with her sister Misty. Emma has also undergone ACL surgery in the past.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Emma, a Columbus Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Columbus, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
