Belton's Story...
Belton-English Setter,young male

Belton was a gorgeous English Setter, a young male recently left at a high kill rural shelter. His owner
didn't have time to hunt with him, or train him so left him there. The Rescue was happy to help this
kind dog find a home, being a companion to some lucky family. Belton's breeding says he'll need a
home where he can get daily exercise. He's about 2 years old, with lots of energy. He's well mannered, friendly, good with other dogs. You can see the intelligence in his eyes!

His adoption fee is $300 to help cover the medical expenses of getting ready for adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Belton, a Germantown English Setter dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a English Setter for sale in Germantown, or seeking a English Setter dog from a breeder in Germantown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Germantown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Germantown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even English Setter breeders who help with English Setter rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Germantown paves the way for another one to be saved.
