Please read the following before inquiring about adopting Futeki.
Tiki is an amazing cute girl- but she is not the dog for most people and it will be a rare family that we can consider for her. Tiki has been in our care for a year now, and we have just now decided to list her, more in hopes of sponsors to help us care for her than the expectation of finding a forever family for her.
We are not trying to be rude, but please understand we are VERY serious about her needs. After a year of working with her, we now accept that whatever happened in her past can not be fully over come. She will never be a 'normal' dog but if accepted with her baggage she will be a great companion and deserves to be given that chance in exchange for the suffering she had to endure at a human hand.
Tiki MUST have a home without children and with a fenced yard.Tiki's new family must understand that they can never EVER try to put a leash on her, not on her collar nor on her harness. She can not tolerate being leashed, she will either chew through the leash and escape or end up biting the person who did leash her due to her extreme terror.
Tiki does however have lots of redeeming qualities, she is a doll and loves attention and will crawl right into your lap if you sit down to her level. While she can't be leashed, her smaller size means she can be carried places and that is how we picked her up from the shelter and have taken her into the vets offce for her exams.
