Raye's Story...
I am a kitten and full of energy. I was very shy when I came to my foster’s home, but I am learning to come out of my shell. I really love to play with a laser pointer, I will keep you amused for hours if you play with me. I also love to play with kitty toys, like white mice, scratchers and catnip. I love to sleep in a nice soft chair. I may hide from you if you try to pick me up off the floor, but if you get me while I’m in my chair, you can cuddle me and hold me for a while. I am a little squirmy, but I want to be loved, I just need a little special attention. I am a beautiful gray and white tuxedo spayed female. I am negative for FELV/FIV, spayed or neutered and had one (if adult) or two (if kitten) distemper shot(s).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Raye, a Colorado Springs Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Colorado Springs, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Colorado Springs.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Colorado Springs already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Colorado Springs breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Colorado Springs paves the way for another one to be saved.
