Sadie Jane's Story...
Sadie Jane's an adorable wire fox terrier we rescued from a local shelter. She loves people and attention. She enjoys being held or just being at your side. Her wire coat gives her a scruffy-scrappy look but she's a clean and tidy girl with a polite demeanor. She currently needs heartworm medication (paid for by Homeless Pets) but full recovery is expected and Sadie Jane shows no outward signs of the condition. Heartworm is all too common, not contagious, and is caused by mosquitoes. It's diagnosed by a simple blood test and is avoidable if owners give monthly preventatives. Don't let that little blip cause you to pass over this sweet little dog who'll be your loving and loyal friend for life! Sadie Jane's around 3 years young so has many, many more years of fun ahead of her! Email adoptions@homelesspets.com for more info or drop by 1343 Gresham Rd, Marietta 30062 (Mon-Thurs 8-8, Fri 8-3) to meet her! Fax applications (found at homelesspets.com/adoptions) to 770-971-0100.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sadie Jane, a Marietta Wirehaired Fox Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Wirehaired Fox Terrier for sale in Marietta, or seeking a Wirehaired Fox Terrier dog from a breeder in Marietta.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marietta already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marietta breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Wirehaired Fox Terrier breeders who help with Wirehaired Fox Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marietta paves the way for another one to be saved.
