Skylar's Story...
Never leave the butter dish out with this boy! He loves food, and despite being so skinny he will eat just about everything he smells, especially if it is raw meat or freeze dried treats. A slinky boy that LOVES big dogs, and enjoys rubbing on them any chance he gets, his ideal home would have a new big best friend for him. He likes most other cats as well, but can play a little rough with them if he doesn’t get worn out with toys. Toys are very important to Skylar, and he loves to play with just about everything, though feathers on a string, lasers and kickers are his favorites. Skylar is about 18 months old, has a great little motor on him, and he loves to knead his people as he sits in their lap.

All of our cats and kittens have been fostered in a home environment and are litter box trained, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, spayed/neutered, and have been tested for FIV and FeLV prior to being made available for adoption.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Skylar, a Edmond Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Edmond, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Edmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Edmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Edmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Edmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
