Sweet Kim aka Goo Bear's Story...
Meet Kim aka Goo Goo Bear, but she answers to Goo. Goo greats me when I walk in the door and the minute you hold her, she turns to jelly, loves a good back scratch to get her purring away. She's make eyes at you, and roll over for a belly rub too. And, like a true best friend in the making, she sleeps on the bed with her humans every night. You'll see what a lover she is in the video (she looks big in the video but she is just a baby around 16 weeks old).

She loves to surf the internet for bird and squirrel videos and paws at the screen when we've found one she really likes. She is currently being fostered with several other kittens and two adults. She'll curl up for a nap with all of them, and even runs around the apartment in play with them. She also enjoys sitting in the open windows (with screens!) and patches of sunlight on the kitchen floor. She loves her teaser toys and likes to chase her toy mouse up and down the full length of the apartment. She's very curious and bright -- she likes to explore on table tops but responds excellently to the first time you say "no." She's a very smart little kitten!

Goo is gorgeous tuxedo kitten. Her coat is pure luxury, very soft, shiny, and vibrant with color, making her look as though she's wearing a velvet onesie. She has little white whiskers, white-gloved paws with black pads (so pretty!), and a little white on her chest and tummy.

Goo hails from the mean streets of Brooklyn. We pulled her from the kill list of the Brooklyn ACC. They were going to euthanize her because she was a very frightened kitten but she is a total lap cat now. Goo got her second chance and she's made the most of it.

She's up-to-date on her shots, spayed, microchipped, and healthy as can be. She's ready and waiting for her person or people to bring her home!

If you would like to meet Goo, contact Claire a catskittensnyc@gmail.com or call evenings and weekends at 718-455-5711.

Thank you for thinking of a rescued angel.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sweet Kim aka Goo Bear, a Brooklyn Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Brooklyn, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Brooklyn.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Brooklyn already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Brooklyn breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Brooklyn paves the way for another one to be saved.
